iPhone 4 Vs. LG Marquee: Smartphone Showdown Before hanging out with Stacey London from “What Not to Wear,” I compared the new LG Marquee for Sprint to an iPhone 4. In the end, the iPhone 4 won, but the LG Marquee did have some powerful ammunition. Its 3.97-ounce weight and swanky looks were its most redeeming qualities though, and I felt as though the Marquee’s 1GB processor/512MB RAM specs were so last fall. As a fashion phone, one would think the Marquee would have been on the cutting edge. The phone also revealed a 1500mAh battery, modest 2GB MicroSD card and Sprint IDs, and I was able to attain some sample shots from the phone’s 5-megapixel camera, which are coming soon to a TechnoBuffalo post near you. The main weapon in the Marquee’s arsenal was its brighter and larger 4-inch NOVA display with WVGA resolution. While we had known about this event for a month, we had no clue until today what was being announced. Earlier today we learned that it looked the Kyocera Echo, the first dual-screen Android phone, was the most likely candidate for the announcement, and it proved to be true. We had live coverage of the event, but nothing beats a good old recap. The new phone features dual 3.5-inch LCD WVGA screens that will make a total of 4.7-inches diagonally when both screens are open. You will be able to run separate apps in each screen, or one that spans both when you choose. We use cell phones on a daily basis but not while driving. We had twin 17 year old girls killed by a cell phone user in 2002. Cell phone use and texting has only gotten worse since then. They cost lives every day. We have heard all the arguments so save your time. People do have other distractions but you will notice cell phone use is the absolute most common. Everybody sees it and frowns upon it but they do it anyway. If these videos save one life then it was all worth it.
